Originally established in 1992 by Paul Watling, the company succeeded in becoming, four times winner of the OBBMTA, best thatched house competition. The company is now run by Michael Powell, along with the help of his team, of highly skilled craftsman. Michael took over the company in 2009, after completing his apprenticeship and working with Paul for 8 years. During this time, Michael was guided by Paul learning the different styles and techniques of thatching to become a master thatcher.
